United Commercial Credit Scam
Category: Other
Company offered $5,000 loan to be direct deposited in my account upon submission of some documents and insurance amount of $447 + $40 wiring fees. After signing contract faxed to me by Shawn Allen for the amount, next day got a call staying the loan was not approved because some issues with my credit report (they were not supposed to check credit anyways). At that moment I requested my money to be refunded as stated in the contract, was told (Andrew) that would take 7 days via FEDEX. Next day got a call again stating that the lender agreed to release the loan for extra insurance ($300) and no payments to be due until Jan. 1st. A promissory note was faxed to me with supposedly signed by the company's CEO (Steven Walters) and once again the guarantee of a refund if something went wrong. Again, money to be deposited 24-48 after receiving the money. Days passed and no money was deposit, contact with them via voice-mail, email, and fax was unsuccessful. They scan calls and ask who's calling so I was not able to talk to anyone, after few calls, the call gets dropped even before I get any answering message. They got my money and all my attempts of communication has failed! They are most definitely scamming people.

DON'T DO IT! They scammed me after telling me that I was approved and contract was signed. BBB could not find them...changed address and phone number and the rep was the same Andrew Paul!

No company who is giving you a loan will require payments from YOU before you even get the loan! I can't believe people are still falling for this, it's called "Advance Fee Fraud", and it's similar to what the Nigerian 419 scam is. Besides... always check online about companies you deal with... search for their name and "scam". Think about it though, doesn't make sense if you NEED a loan, yet they want money before hand.
