Iraqi Dinar Scam
Category: Business Opportunities
You've probably heard of the Nigerian Letter Scam - this one could potentially be bigger. The theory is that the new Iraqi dinar, which was created when US forces occupied Iraq, is woefully undervalued and at any moment it will be \"revalued\" turning a $1,000 investment into a $1 million return. This has been going on for nearly ten years but the only people getting rich are the various dinar sales sites on the Internet.
I've investigated fraud all over the world for nearly 30 years and have never come across a more perfect fraud. Perfect - because it's nearly impossible to prosecute. The tiny kernel of truth is that it really could \"reval.\" The riches simply are not coming. The proponents point to the reval of the Kuwaiti Dinar as direct proof of the potential. But caribou running wild in Alaska is no proof they will soon run wild in Miami Beach! I could argue all the political and financial reasons why this cannot happen. But there\'s an easier way to tell, and that\'s from a human nature standpoint.
All successful frauds have the same components - the person informing you knows somebody who knows somebody on the inside and they have information that is not on the street. 2) this is extremely confidential, nobody knows about it 3) it\'s urgent, you need to act quickly because it\'s about to happen and 4) you will get rich overnight. My wife\'s brother called her begging her to invest whatever she had in Dinars as soon as possible. He personally knows a banker in Dubai who is buying all the Dinars he can. It\'s going to happen right before Thanksgiving and she needs to keep it a secret from me because if the word gets out it might sour the deal. By Thanksgiving. That was Thanksgiving 2006. Every season he reports political or financial news proving its about to happen just before Easter, Memorial day, Thanksgiving ( crooks know people are more vulnerable during holidays) etc, etc. he even called one evening to announce he was sitting at his computer and witnessed it revaluing right before his eyes. The next day he had some explanation why the transaction was nullified. A quick Google search proved it was not a secret, it\'s been going on for years, and the urgency to act quickly has been occurring like clockwork. The interesting thing is that the reasons vary widely from blog to blog why it\'s about to happen.
The urgency was a lie, the confidentiality was a lie, & it\'s a get rich quick scheme with insider info. If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck it must be a duck. I\'m hoping to prevent at least one person from loosing their life savings. If after investigating you are still convinced its going to happen, then by all means don\'t invest one penny more than you can afford to lose.
